The HP LaserJet Pro P1606dn uses one toner cartridge: the HP 78A black (CE278A), rated for about 2,100 pages. Every option that fits the P1606dn is on this page, genuine HP, singly or as a twin pack, and I ship them Australia-wide from partner warehouses across the country. The same toner fits the LaserJet Pro P1566 and the LaserJet Pro M1536dnf multifunction.
Which toner fits the LaserJet Pro P1606dn
- HP 78A Black toner cartridge (CE278A)
- HP 78A Black twin pack (CE278AD), two cartridges at a lower price per cartridge
The drum is built into the cartridge on this printer, so there's no separate drum unit to replace. If the P1606dn is your main office printer, the twin pack is the better buy; if it's a backup machine that prints a page a day, a single cartridge will last you a long time.
